Bio
Born in Santa Monica (CA), Peter became co-owner of the Neon Venus Art Theatre in Las Vegas in 2008. In 2009 he opened a second location on Melrose in Hollywood. Peter plays the piano and teaches songwriting, singing lessons, breathing techniques, and increasing vocal range to prepare his students for auditions. He taught voice in NYC, Las Vegas, and Hollywood for over 15 years, in every style and especially Pop/Rock, R & B, and Theatre. He also plays the guitar, bass, and keyboard,. Peter does sings backup in his band Neon Venus-- which he co-manages with lead singer, Lissette Napoleoni. Neon Venus plays edgy, Latin inspired, punky dance music which has an amazing energy that really gets the crowd going. He has toured internationally. Neon Venus, has had 4 videos on MTV3 plus a one-hour rockumentary. He co-produced, shot, and edited the rockumentary for the band's European tour (Turkey, Sinai, Egypt, Spain and Italy) for the Armed Forces that was featured on MTV Espanol. Four Neon Venus have aired on MTV Espanol, VHUno and MTV Puerto Rico from 2003-2008. Two songs from their CD “Irresistible” were pre-nominated for the 49th Annual Grammys in two categories: “Best Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal”.
Peter is also a scene study instructor for actors of all ages. In Las Vegas, he has directed plays for kids and adults, and has provided technical and managerial support for other plays, Improv Shows, band performances, community events, etc. He applies his knowledge of voice to acting, and enjoys teaching his students higher range techniques., He has years of xperience working in the entertainment industry. He was part of an improv group in New York called the "Flying Monkeys," which performed at the famous "Don't tell Mama's" in Manhattan. Peter also trained in Hollywood with Donald Petrie (Director of Miss Congeniality, Grumpy Old Men, and many others), and with Barry Pearl (from the movie Grease).
